Job Description

The Corporate Buyer is responsible for the strategic and operational procurement of Raw Materials and Packaging for our plant in NC which involves:

Strategy:

• Develops a category plan resulting into a yearly action plan.
• Manages the appointed Raw Materials and Packaging portfolios and its suppliers on a strategic, tactical and operational level.

Process:

• Uses the existing sourcing processes and structures to support the business strategy, but also reflects on these constantly to search for continuous improvement
• Works integrated with Marketing, Quality, R&D, Planning, Logistics, Production and Procurement colleagues on existing product development (EPD) and new product development (NPD) activities.

Qualifications

• University degree, Master of a certain economics degree.
• 5-7 years of experience in procurement and sourcing negotiations, preferably in FMCG. Experience in procurement of Raw Materials and/or packaging materials is a plus.
• Good knowledge of raw- and packaging materials, machines, and applications in FMCG. A good understanding of food technology is a significant advantage.
• Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook is necessary.
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
