Director, Human Resources - Manufacturing
We are partnering with a leading manufacturing company in search of a dynamic and experienced HR Director, to join their Human Resources team. The ideal candidate is an experienced HR leader with a strong background in manufacturing , proven skills across talent management, learning & development, and recruiting , and the ability to thrive in both strategic and tactical HR functions.
This is a high-impact role for someone looking to step into increased responsibility and grow into a VP of HR . The company is looking for a true team player - someone who can lead confidently, execute HR initiatives with excellence, and support the growth of the broader HR team while collaborating closely with executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted HR advisor and active partner across the organization, delivering both strategic insight and hands-on execution.
- Lead and support site HR Managers to ensure alignment with company objectives, policies, and HR best practices.
- Drive implementation of HR policies and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Provide coaching and support to people leaders on employee relations, performance management, and development of people leadership capability.
- Influence and implement initiatives that promote a strong performance culture and employee engagement across all levels.
- Recommend and execute HR solutions that improve team efficiency, capability, and employee satisfaction.
- Lead and support recruiting strategies and workforce planning efforts, partnering with hiring managers to deliver best-in-class talent acquisition and onboarding.
- Support the development and deployment of training and development programs that enhance organizational capability.
- Collaborate closely with leadership to ensure organizational structures, talent, and succession planning strategies are in place to support long-term growth.
- Monitor and analyze HR metrics and analytics to inform business decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Benchmark and implement HR best practices to maintain the company's position as an employer of choice.
- Ensure strong communication and collaboration between HR and cross-functional leadership, maintaining a visible presence across all locations.
- Participate in strategic HR planning with the SVP and contribute to company-wide initiatives around organizational effectiveness, employee well-being, and culture.
- Ensure alignment with safety and quality goals in collaboration with production and operational teams.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master's degree or advanced HR certifications is a plus.
- Minimum of 5+ years of senior HR leadership experience , including management of HR teams and business partnership at a site or regional level.
- Strong background in manufacturing HR is required
- Demonstrated expertise across key HR disciplines including employee relations, performance management, compliance, talent acquisition, organizational design, and workforce planning.
- Hands-on, collaborative leader who is comfortable wearing multiple hats and supporting a 24/7 operation.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and change management skills with the ability to influence across multiple levels of an organization.
- Proven track record of building trust, developing teams, and driving organizational results.
