Job Opening: Pastry Cook

Location: L'Artisane Bakery & Bistro (Coral Gables)

L'Artisane Bakery & Bistro is currently seeking a passionate and skilled Pastry Cook to join our team. We are a renowned bakery and bistro, specializing in artisanal, plant-based cuisine. We pride ourselves on creating innovative and delicious pastries, and we are looking for an individual who shares our commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the preparation and production of a variety of vegan pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
2. Follow recipes and presentation specifications as set by our Executive Pastry Chef.
3. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
4. Assist in the creation of new and exciting pastry offerings, contributing to our seasonal menu changes.
5. Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a professional pastry kitchen, preferably in a high-volume environment.
2. Knowledge of vegan pastry and baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Detail-oriented, with a commitment to consistency and quality.
5. Flexible schedule, including the ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
